Industry events for Accounting & Finance students

Are you planning to pursue the CPA designation and wondering about Practical Experience Requirements? Attend our free question and answer session with CPABC staff who can answer your questions.

Note: No formal overview of the CPA program will be given during this rapid-fire Q&A session. Please be sure to watch this before attending the session.

October 24, 5-6pm

Curious how a candidate navigates through the CPA program with working full time and studying part time? If yes, join the conversation and listen to a PEP candidate's real-life experience with their working life balance tips, job search and much more. The conversation will include how they entered the program, where they are currently working and their experience thus far in the CPA program. You will then have an opportunity to ask your own questions to the candidate.

Featured candidate: Nidhi Arora, Accounting Technician from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

October 29, 5:30-6:30pm

Join us for an online general Q&A session with CPABC Recruitment staff. In this interactive event, you will have the opportunity to ask questions about the CPA program, how to apply, and any additional questions you may have about the program.

This event is suitable for persons who have already attended a CPABC Information Session.

  • CPAEF bursaries and scholarships
    Every year CPAEF offers a bursary program to BC students based on financial need with two deadlines to apply each year: May 15 and November 15. Scholarships are also available to students attending one of eleven BC post-secondary institutions that do not have named awards: applications are due May 1.
