School of Health and Human Services

Vara is a Registered Nurse who has worked in the School of Health and Human Services (HHS) since 2009 teaching in the Practical Nursing, Health Care Assistant, and Education Assistant and Community Support programs. She was the Program Leader for Practical Nursing for four years before moving into the position of HHS Simulation Education Coordinator.

Vara holds a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and a BC Provincial Instructor鈥檚 Diploma. A passion for facilitating experiential learning led to achievement of a Master of Science in Healthcare Simulation & Patient Safety from the National University of Ireland.
